Kevin Durant has just finished his 16th season in the NBA. The 35-year-old power forward has played for four teams: the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, and Phoenix Suns. He is often debated for his incredible three seasons with the Warriors, where he won two championships for the franchise and nearly missed a third.
However, an NBA analyst recently undervalued Durant’s impact on the Warriors during a discussion on the show “Undisputed.” Keyshawn Johnson, an American former football wide receiver, mentioned that the outcome would have been the same if Paul Pierce had been on the Warriors alongside Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Stephen Curry.
“If I put Paul Pierce on the Golden State Warriors with Klay Thompson and Draymond and Steph Curry. You don’t think he could do the same stuff?” Johnson said.
However, Durant didn’t stay quiet after Johnson’s remark and fired back with a bold statement on his social media account on X (Formerly Known as Twitter).
“If the Jets would’ve taken Jonathan Ogden, Marvin Harrison, Ray Lewis, or Eddie George number 1, they would’ve been better off……I hate hypotheticals.” Durant wrote in his latest post on X.
