The blockbuster trade deal involving Anthony Davis and Luka Doncic has sent shockwaves through the basketball world. From NBA stars to fans, everyone is buzzing about the shocking deal between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks. Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant shared his opinion on the recent development and took a jibe at the NBA teams.
ESPN’s Shams Charania broke the news on social media that the Mavericks and Lakers are trading their star players, Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis. It will be a three-team deal that also includes the Utah Jazz.
In a recent interview, Kevin Durant was asked about the mega Doncic-Davis trade deal. While expressing his shock at the blockbuster trade deal, Kevin Durant said, “Insane. It’s crazy, crazy.” However, the Suns star also took aim at the NBA teams over their loyalty double standard.
“Players are held to a different standard of loyalty and commitment to a program, but the organizations don’t get held to that same standard from the outside,” Durant said in an interview with Phoenix Suns insider Duane Rankin.

“For sure. You start seeing stuff like that, as an organization, you might get a little more courage to do some stuff. You see another team trade away somebody like that. This got to be the biggest trade I’ve seen since I’ve been in the league or since I’ve been watching the sport. This is insane. So yeah, every other team might get confidence and say fuck it, I’ll trade a few of my top players if this ain’t working,” Durant said.
With the trade deadline approaching on February 6, it remains to be seen whether other NBA teams would be brave enough to make a sensational trade like this.
