After winning two NBA Championships and 2 NBA Finals MVP’s, the Kevin Durant era in the Bay Area is officially over after he elected to take his talents to the Brooklyn Nets.
Durant is expected to sit out the entire 2019-20 season after suffering a ruptured Achilles in the NBA Finals.
Before he made his decision, there was a bunch of speculation about Golden State’s medical staff and how they handled Durant’s injury in the playoffs that resulted in him coming back too early and injuring himself even worse.
Durant hasn’t stated anything publicly, but he seemed to do so on Instagram when he liked a post that noted the forward will miss all of next season “due to Warriors incompetence.”
That seems like one last parting shot before he leaves town.
