Everybody across the basketball world is trying to come up with a way to salvage the 2020 NBA season. Kenny Smith may have just saved the NBA season, most notably, the postseason.
Kenny Smith of “NBA on TNT” thinks an NCAA Tournament-style NBA playoffs may be the best way to bring the year to a close and crown a champion.
Smith thinks all teams should qualify for the postseason and seeding will be based on current records. It should be a single-elimination type game that could be finished within three weeks.
“I would love to see a NBA tournament.. ALL TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS this year single game elimination until the final four. Could be done in 3 weeks of quarantine in Vegas.. drastic times / drastic measures ..!” Smith tweeted.
We are living in desperate times and if the powers to be truly want to finish out this season, then NBA commissioner Adam Silver and his people to consider any and all possible options.
The Los Angeles Lakers currently occupy the top spot in the West and they would be facing off against the Golden State Warriors in the first round.
