Kevin Durant had quite the run with the Golden State Warriors, winning two titles during his three seasons in the Bay Area. But the two-time Finals MVP closed that chapter on his career when he decided to take his talents to Brooklyn this offseason.
Why would KD want to leave the Warriors when they appeared to have such a good thing going? There are plenty of reasons, of course, but Kendrick Perkins claims to know the number one cause for Durant’s departure: Draymond Green.
Perkins looks back at Draymond’s tirade towards Durant following a November 2018 game against the Clippers (the one which led to the team suspending Green for one game) as the breaking point in their relationship:
