Kendrick Perkins Predicts Bright Season Ahead for the Knicks
During a recent episode of NBA Today, former NBA star Kendrick Perkins made a bold prediction for the New York Knicks. Kawhi Leonard’s admirer highlighted the team’s potential, suggesting that they could surpass the Boston Celtics this season.
“They’re gonna finish with the best record in the NBA, and Tom Thibodeau should have a sigh of relief right now. When it comes down now to being able to experiment with Julius Randle at the five position until Mitchell Robinson gets back,” Perkins said.
“Now you don’t have to have that conversation when Mitchell Robinson comes back. He’s going to bring him in off the bench. I love the idea of Julius Randle playing the five alongside OG Anunoby being a somewhat stretched four,” he added.
The Knicks have recently been in the spotlight for their potential acquisition of Karl-Anthony Towns from the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, to bring KAT to New York, the team would likely have to part ways with Randle in the trade.
