Kendrick Perkins needs to take a super break from being on Twitter, because he continues to get duped into believing things that are not true.
The former NBA player and current ESPN analyst was recently on “SportsCenter” when he incorrectly stated that Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga underwent an absurd growth spurt.
“From reports, I’m hearing that Jonathan Kuminga is now 7-foot-2,” Perkins said. “The kid has gotten better every single season.”
His report was a social media joke.
“I’m not lying,” read the fake Moody quote. “He’s tall as F now.”

Moody never made this comment about Kuminga.
A lot of that probably had to do with Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala replying to the initial tweet, joking that Kuminga was actually 7’2.”
Then, an account photoshopped a fake image of Kuminga standing next to 6’4″ teammate Jordan Poole.
Perkins was eventually alerted about his failure to check his sources.
“I hate this damn app.” wrote Perkins.
Kuminga, a former No. 7 overall pick, averaged 9.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this past season. He will be called on to do even more if the team decides to not bring Draymond Green back into the roster.
Green declined his $27.6 million player option for the 2023-24 season.
Green’s contract status has been a major focal point around Golden State and reports state he believes he deserved the maximum extension that would pay him $164.2 million over the next five seasons.
