Former Cleveland Cavalier and current NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins had some rather harsh words to Steve Kerr on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, the Golden State Warriors head coach essentially called out Anthony Davis demanding a trade and forcing his way onto the Lakers and how bad it could be for the NBA going forward:
“I’m talking more about the Anthony Davis situation,” Kerr said on The Warriors Insider Podcast. “Where a guy is perfectly healthy and has a couple years left on his deal and says, ‘I want to leave.’ That’s a real problem that the league has to address and that the players have to be careful with.
“When you sign on that dotted line, you owe your effort and your play to that team, to that city, to the fans. And then [once the contract runs out] it’s completely your right to leave as a free agent. But if you sign the contract, then you should be bound to that contract,” Kerr said during an interview on the Warriors Insider Podcast.
Perkins would take to Twitter and blast Kerr for his comments, all while bringing up Kevin Durant joining his 73-9 Warriors squad.
Perkins wasn’t finished.

One last Tweet.
When he was done typing, he decided to co-sign a Tweet taking a shot at Kerr.
Nice to see Perkins take up for Davis, but his anger seems to be really misguided as Kerr was basically using Davis’ situation to state how he hopes players in the league doesn’t follow suit like this particular situation when they are under contract.
