The Minnesota Timberwolves faced another setback in Game 3, being outpaced by the Dallas Mavericks. This defeat did not sit well with NBA legend Kendrick Perkins, who openly expressed his frustration with the game’s referee, Tony Brothers.
While Charles Barkley’s attention was on Luka Doncic, Perkins took to social media to call out Brothers for what he viewed as controversial and unfair officiating. The NBA legend did not hold back in his criticism, slamming Brothers for his seemingly whimsical decision-making during the game.
“Man, get Tony Brothers outta here man. This ain’t about YOU,” Perkins wrote in his X account.
One of the most contentious moments was Brothers’ decision to call a technical foul on Minnesota’s Kyle Anderson. Anderson’s technical foul seemed unwarranted and raised questions about the referee’s judgment during the game’s critical moments.
Moreover, Karl-Anthony Towns had a series of questionable fouls against Derrick Lively II, including an accidental knee that forced Lively out of action. Nevertheless, Towns was not ejected from the game.
