Los Angeles is on the verge of another sweep by the Denver Nuggets after they lost Game 3 of the first-round playoffs. The situation has favored the Nuggets, who now need one more win to move on to the next stage.
Lakers head coach Darvin Ham sat down with the reporters in a post-game press conference to answer all of their questions after the disappointing loss. One reporter asked Ham about when he thinks his team started to lose energy and the game flipped.
Ham replied immediately, “Just in the second quarter.” He explained that the Lakers players attempted a few shots that did not make it; this broke their rhythm, which carried on to the third quarter.

“The guys that were off were all missing the shots they would make. That’s the way the game goes; it’s a make-or-miss league. You can’t get a bucket and they are scoring. They are on a run. You know it’s tough; you have to keep the scoreboard moving,” said Darvin Ham.
He highlighted that after the Lakers missed their initial attempts on the target, they all went under their rhythm, unable to score. This allowed the Nuggets to become even more dominant and exert pressure on them, ultimately winning the game.

What’s next for the Lakers after their Game 3 loss?
The Los Angeles Lakers are currently in a precarious spot. They are 0-3 against the Denver Nuggets, and the Nikola Jokic-led squad only needs one more game to advance to the next stage of the playoffs. Many fans have already given up hope, accepting the recent loss as a confirmation of a sweep by the Nuggets.
However, Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis have kept the hope alive. After their recent loss, Bron and AD attended a post-game press conference. During the meeting, King James and Davis revealed that the Lakers would try their best to win Game 4 on Saturday.
If the Lakers win Game 5, they will be forced into the series, giving them a chance to make history by returning from a 0-3 deficit.
