Kawhi Leonard had a happy outing against the San Antonio Spurs recently. Putting up an impressive show, the Clippers registered a 128-116 win against the Spurs. However, the fans at the Front Bank Center did not seem to enjoy Leonard’s presence at all. As a matter of fact, Leonard was a former member of the Spurs’ outfit. In fact, with his exquisite skills on display, the 33-year-old also led the Spurs to an NBA championship.
Thus, watching their once favorite player wreaking havoc was not something that went well with the audience. Throughout the game, Leonard was booed, which apparently made the NBA star a little upset. Speaking up after the game, Leonard opened up about his emotions as he was booed by his former home crowd.
“It’s just because of the player I am. And what I’ve done here. So it’s a little pain in the heart still. It’s still love in the city wherever I go. But obviously, when I put on that different jersey, they have a great fanbase, so they’re gonna stick to the Spurs, and I’m okay with that,” said Leonard.

Leonard also mentioned that with every passing game, he is looking to up his attacking play more and more. Meanwhile, the 33-year-old recently hit a significant career milestone.
Kawhi Leonard Reacts After New Career Milestone
Kawhi Leonard is already an NBA champion. However, that did not seem to satiate his hunger for success. Recently, as Leonard and his team won 116-102 against the Los Angeles Lakers, Leonard completed a very special career milestone. In his 24 minutes of appearance, the two-time Defensive Player of the Year dropped 19 points and completed a whopping 14,000 career points in the NBA.
Speaking on his achievements, Leonard stated, “I’m happy that I was able to play along enough to get to that point… But for me though, I’m not looking at that as a milestone. I’m more of a team guy and want to get the win, get down, be the last team standing and that’s what I played for.”
