The New York Knicks recently played against the Memphis Grizzles in an intense game at Madison Square Garden. Karl-Anthony Towns put another stellar game to his debut season with the Knicks. He scored a double-double with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 1 assist in 33 minutes of play. However, there was another highlight after the game that captured everyone’s attention.
Mikal Bridges had an impressive performance, scoring 28 points as the Knicks secured a dominating 143-106 victory. After the game, Towns approached Timothée Chalamet, who was sitting courtside. Towns took off his game-worn jersey, signed it, and gifted it to Chalamet. The two hugged and took photos together, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. However, social media users took the moment in a different direction.
When the official NBA account on X (formerly Twitter) shared a video of the interaction between Karl-Anthony Towns and Timothée Chalamet, fans began to react. While many fans praised Towns for his kind gesture, others pointed out the connection between their girlfriends.

Karl-Anthony Towns Playfully Makes The Case For Josh Hart’s All-Star Spot
The roster of All-Star starters for the 2025 season has been officially announced, featuring two outstanding players from the Knicks. Karl-Anthony Towns is set to make his fifth All-Star appearance, which is an impressive milestone in his career. Jalen Brunson has earned the honour of being selected for the second time. However, despite his significant contributions to the team throughout the season, it seems that Josh Hart may not be included in this year’s selections. During a recent interview, Towns humorously addressed the case for Hart’s inclusion in the All-Star roster.
“I want to ruin his whole break. I want him to be right there with us playing basketball. What he say, he wants to put his toes in the sand? We ain’t doing that. I want him to be at the All-Star.” Towns said.

The All-Star 2025 starters pool also surprised Charlotte Hornets fans as their star player, LaMelo Ball, was excluded from the list. After the recent victory, the Knicks are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 31-16. They will play their next game against the Denver Nuggets at Madison Square Garden.
