The Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs by the Indiana Pacers. Point guard Patrick Beverley spoke to the media after the Bucks’ loss in Game 6 and the series to the Pacers. However, he denied an interview with a reporter who approached him. Beverley told a female reporter from ESPN that she could not interview him since she didn’t subscribe to his podcast.
While Beverley was sitting in the locker room, reporters from different media outlets surrounded him. During the team’s postgame media availability, Beverley asked the reporter if she was a member of his podcast, “The Pat Bev Podcast.” When the reporter said she was not, Beverley told her she was not allowed to interview him. He then asked her to stop making noise near her locker and moved the microphone away from his face.
Patrick Beverley: “You subscribed to my pod?”
Reporter: “I do not.”
Pat Bev: “You can’t interview me then. No disrespect.”
Pat: “Can you move that mic please or just get out the circle please?”

Patrick Beverley is very dedicated to his podcast
In the final quarter of a game, just before Patrick Beverley’s confrontation with Adams, he threw a basketball into the crowd in Indiana and hit a woman sitting behind the bench.
Despite not always having impressive stats, Beverley is a highly dedicated player. His effort and hustle are unquestionable. It’s understandable that he feels the same way about his podcast.
When Beverley was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, he asked Journal Sentinel reporters and other media outlets if they had listened to his podcast. He asked the same question to both visiting and local media.
