Ben Simmons has been to practice for two days now, and Joel Embiid still hasn’t spoken with him. It won’t happen today after head coach Doc Rivers was forced to toss him from practice. He would soon receive a one game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.
Simmons will serve the suspension Wednesday for the season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Starting center Joel Embiid would speak on the situation soon after and did not mince any words.
“At the end of the day, our job is not to babysit somebody.”
