Joel Embiid hasn’t had the best of seasons in 2024. After struggling significantly with his knees, Embiid made a temporary comeback. Much to his agony, the Philadelphia 76ers star succumbed to a sinus fracture that further strained his route to finding his rhythm. However, the 30-year-old turned out to be a gritty warrior.
After just five days of suffering his injury, Embiid made a thumping return to the court. He immediately made an impact and helped his team secure a 108-98 win against the Charlotte Hornets. After his triumphant return, Embiid quickly called out the man who lent him immense support during his gloomy days. And it is none other than Paul George.
“It’s great. You can never get enough of the support. When you have the support from family, people close to you, your teammates, guys like him, that’s the reason why you keep going and keep figuring out that because that’s who you play for. People that support you, people that push you,” Embiid stated.
