Embiid delivered several outstanding performances during the last NBA season, including a career-high 50 points, eight rebounds, and four assists against the New York Knicks on April 25, 2024.
During a crucial moment for the team, Embiid was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, a neurological disorder that causes temporary facial paralysis or weakness on one side of the face. In addition, the 76ers star also experienced migraines and blurred vision. These setbacks contributed to the 76ers’ loss in the first round of the playoffs against the Knicks.
According to StatMuse, Embiid averaged 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in 39 games during the 2023-24 season.
