Jimmy Butler finally returned to action after two weeks for the Miami Heat. While he had a decent outing dropping 18 points in 33 minutes, the buzz around the Heat’s star was palpable. Losing 113-133 to the Denver Nuggets at the Kasaya Center, all eyes were on how Butler would react after coming back from a long layoff. For the uninitiated, the NBA star was handed a 7 game suspension after he publicly spoke about his intentions to get traded before February 6.
However, when asked about how he felt returning to oncourt action, Butler had an honest answer. He stated that his feud was not with his teammates. Thus, he enjoyed his time playing.
“It felt good to get out there and compete and actually run around with these guys,” Butler said. He further added, “As much as everybody may think, I don’t got a problem with these guys. These guys are cool. They’re my friends. … My beef is not with them and never will be. Never has been. But it did feel good to get out there and play some basketball.”

Meanwhile, having just served a seven-match ban, things might get even more uglier between Butler and the Heat. A recent report from Chris Haynes stated that the Heat are looking to slap Butler with a stricter punishment.

At the moment, the ongoing suspension will make Butler lose out on $2.5 million approximately. However, if the status is indeed changed, then the star forward might lose double the amount. Thus, with things getting clouded with each passing day, it remains to be seen what awaits in the future for Jimmy Butler.
