For countless people around the world, it’s a dream to spend a day with a celebrity. Now imagine having the honors of sitting beside one of them during a luxurious event like an NBA playoff game…courtside.
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and second-year cornerback Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner sat beside actress Jessica Alba and her friend, Lizzy Morris, at the New York Knicks-Miami Heat playoff game at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
But here’s the catch: Gardner didn’t even know who Alba was when Rodgers pointed her out to him, as she explained in an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show.”
“The kid didn’t know anybody,” Alba said.
In a couple of follow-up tweets, Gardner stated that he’s seen some of Alba’s movies but never bothered to google search her name.

Last week, the Jets and Green Bay Packers finally completed the highly-anticipated Rodgers trade. Clearly, the four-time MVP hasn’t wasted any time in trying to get to know his teammates, having already introduced Gardner to celebrities that he’s not super familiar with.
The four-time league MVP and future Hall of Famer will now try to help the Jets end the longest active playoff drought in football; the team last qualified for the postseason in 2010.
Gardner, the No. 4 selection of the 2022 NFL Draft, won Defensive Rookie of the Year honors after emerging as a premier shutdown cornerback. His teammate, wide receiver Garrett Wilson, won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
