Jerry West has seen a lot in his nearly six decades around the NBA, and has ran across some of the best players and organizations this league has ever seen.
Appearing Monday on “The Dan Patrick Show,” the LA Clippers executive threw a bit of shade at prior positions he has held just by praising the current team that he is on right now.
“I’ve never been around any organization that is better than this one,” said West. “That’s for sure.”
That comment comes from a man who has worked with the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and Memphis Grizzlies, winning multiple NBA titles and Executive of the Year Awards along the way.
The Clippers might hold the distinction of being the best run organization in the NBA right now, but they have a long way to go before being at the top. Signing Kawhi Leonard and trading for Paul George is just the first step. Getting to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history and to the NBA Finals can change the perception about the franchise.
