Free agency has become one of best times during the NBA offseason as big time players and even smaller time players find new destinations to continue their career.
So far, that hasn’t happened for Jeremy Lin.
The former Toronto Raptors player was at an event in Taiwan and the unsigned guard delivered an emotional speech and honest feelings towards the free agency period.
“There’s a saying, and it says once you hit rock bottom, the only way is up,” Lin said. “But, rock bottom just seems to keep getting more and more rock bottom for me.
“So, free agency has been tough. ‘Cause I feel like, in some ways, the NBA has kind of given up on me.”
The incredible run Lin had with the New York Knicks with “Linsanity” that saw him averaging 26.8 points per game over a six-game winning streak will never be forgotten as he delivered a game-winner in Toronto that had the opposing fans on their feet.
Lin only recorded 27 total minutes in the postseason for the Championship winning Toronto Raptors, which did not help him in free agency.

Lin could play meaningful minutes abroad next season as CSKA Moscow is reportedly interested in the 2019 NBA champion.
