When the National Basketball Association talked about bringing the 2020 season back after it was suspended in March due to the global pandemic, many thought it would ultimately be the virus that would shut the league down again.
The league made it through the rest of the regular season and through at least 4 games in the first round of the playoffs as some teams had already advanced to the second round, and the season is in jeopardy of stopping.
Not because of the virus, but because of another situation of a cop shooting an unarmed Black man.
Jemele Hill went viral on Wednesday for pointing this fact out.
“The NBA season is going to be cancelled because of racism, not COVID. Think about that.”
