Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss and comedian Jay Mohr were married earlier this year in an intimate beachside wedding ceremony in Malibu over Labor Day weekend.
While the marriage was intimate, not much really is when it comes to their living arrangements.
Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss had an interview this week and spoke on how she and her husband don’t even sleep in the same place together and they are still considered newlyweds.
“Okay, everybody is gonna want to live exactly the same way,” Buss told Graham Bensinger in a new interview this week.
“Right now we live in a building that has three units. So I live on the top floor and Jay lives on the first floor. And so there’s a couple that live in between us.
“So where we live together, we’re at the same address except I’m unit three and he’s unit one,” she continued to explain.
“We don’t really want to change anything, because I like my space and I have my schedule and he likes his space and he has his schedule but I can take the elevator down in my slippers and hang out a little bit and go back up.
“I would recommend it to any couple that feels the same way.”
Jay Mohr then gave his take on it.
“It’s like, ‘All right. I’m gonna go upstairs…’ And we see each every morning, every afternoon, and every night,” he said.
“When you’re home alone in your bed it’s like, guys are gross. We just make sounds, like we sweat, the sheets get all wrinkly and weird. It’s like, ‘Aw, just let her sleep like a princess or a Barbie still in the box.’ She doesn’t need to be subjected to me, and my wrestling sweatpants, just belching in my sleep.”

Buss and Mohr, who have been together since 2017, frequently post their appreciation for one another on social media. It was last December when Buss was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand.
Buss was previously engaged to former NBA coach Phil Jackson before the two called it quits in 2016. Mohr was married to actress Nikki Cox from 2006 to 2020. They share a son who was born in 2011.
More than anything, Buss would truly love for her Lakers squad to figure out how to play on the road as the team is undefeated at Crypto.com Arena but dropped to 0-5 on the road after a blowout loss to the Houston Rockets.
The Lakers are 3-5 and in 11th place in the Western Conference.
