Jaylen Brown has responded following a video of him appearing to bad-mouth Bronny James going viral on Monday night.
The NBA Finals MVP was in the building while his Boston Celtics played the Los Angeles Lakers in a Summer League fixture, sitting courtside while Bronny gave yet another poor account of himself.
The rookie scored two points, adding three rebounds and one assist, making things a lot tougher on himself amid the rife criticism he’s been fielding since the draft.
A video has surfaced online showing Brown appearing to discredit the rookie during a courtside conversation with rumored girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick and Angel Reese, according to lip readers.
“I don’t think Bronny is a pro,” the guard appeared to say.
“I think he’ll be on the G-league team for sure,” Gondrezick agreed.
“I don’t think so, I think because of his name he’ll be on the Lakers,” Brown replied.

Reese wisely stayed out of the conversation.

Jaylen Brown Walks Back On His Words
Jaylen Brown has since taken to social media to walk back on his supposed words.
“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity !Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth,” he wrote in a tweet.
The post suggests he’s trying to save face after getting caught. The only problem is that no one is buying it.
“You goofed on this one bruh!” a fan wrote. “You are only responding because you were actually caught on camera. Just be man enough to stand by your words!”
“Apology at 3am got me crine he tryna avoid the headlines tomorrow,” said another.
Brown’s probably going to cover his mouth whenever he speaks about Bronny in future.
