After Game 2, during a press conference, Jaylen Brown was asked about not making an All-NBA Team in the 2023-24 season. In response, the 27-year-old Celtics player sounded off, stating that the Celtics are just two games away from entering the NBA finals, so he is not concerned about the All-NBA selection. He also mentioned that he doesn’t have time to think about it.
“We’re two games away from the Finals… I don’t got no time to give a f***. I watch guys get praised and anointed who I feel like are half as talented as me on either side of the ball. But at this point in my life, I just embrace it. It comes with being who I am and what I stand for, and I ain’t really changing that. So I just come out, and I’m grateful to step on the floor each and every night.” Brown said.

In addition to Tatum’s remark, Coach Joe Mazzulla also made some comments about Brown.
“He’s a very mature guy, so I don’t have to do that, he has a great outlook on life. He knows what’s important and what’s not. He works really hard and he knows who he is as a person and as a player, so that’s the most important thing.” Mazzulla said.
