With the recent uproar involving the recent death of Minneapolis man George Floyd at the hands of the police making headlines, it sort of pushed the other racial incident somewhat out of the top news that happened just days ago.
“Central Park Karen” is making the rounds on social media that showed a Black man being wrongfully accused of threatening the life of a White woman who became enraged that he asked her to put her dog on a leash.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown saw that video and just had to speak out on it.
He continued to call out Karen’s decision to call the police on the man filming the video, and even stated she should face charges.
She has since been fired from her job.

“What’s going on now among people of color is I think is no different than what’s been going on the last 100 years,” Brown said during his appearance on the “NBA Together” roundtable discussion, via The Boston Globe. “The lack of resources, the lack or affordability, the lack of accessibility, the lack of information, I think it’s just being magnified right now during this time.
