It’s sort of hard to say that a team that was already heavily under .500 could reach a new low, but that’s exactly what happened to the Los Angeles Lakers.
On Sunday, the Lakers traveled to New York to face off against the lowly Knicks and found themselves in good position to win the game with less than 4 minutes to play.
Then the wheels fell off and the Lakers could only muster 1 point for the remainder of the game, while the Knicks scored 13 to steal the game.
Following the game, former Lakers great and hall of famer James Worthy just couldn’t believe what he saw out there on the court as the team dropped to 31-39 on the year.
During the post-game, Worthy clearly wanted to go off, but it was a family station, so he had to hold back his comments from a team that just got swept by the Knicks.
