Derrick Rose’s career with the Chicago Bulls remains one of the most memorable periods in NBA history. After leading the Memphis Tigers to the most wins in NCAA history, Rose took the league by storm after joining the Bulls, winning the Rookie of the Year award in his debut season. His exceptional athleticism and skill reached new heights when he claimed the MVP title during the 2010–11 season.
Recently, Indiana Pacers star James Johnson shared his thoughts on Rose’s dominance during an appearance on The OGs Show. Johnson, who witnessed Rose’s rise firsthand, reflected on his early years in the league and watching Rose in action.
“Just sitting back and just being a rookie and knowing that you ain’t gonna play that night was fine with me knowing that I got my work in, and now I’m about to watch the best basketball playing in the league at this time,” Johnson said.
“That was the year before his MVP. His MVP, he just picked up where he left off for real. Yeah, boy, that shit, I ain’t never seen no shit like that,” he added.
James Johnson Boldly Claims He Can Beat MMA Legend Jon Jones
Jon “Bones” Jones is widely regarded as the GOAT in MMA. However, Indiana Pacers star James Johnson believes he has what it takes to take on Jones in the ring. During his recent appearance on ‘The OGs Show’, Johnson made the bold statement, claiming he could beat one of the best fighters in the world.
“I truly, truly believe that. I’m not just talking to rap. I’ve been doing this my whole life. Like real training would really be for that groundwork. But as far as standing up and fighting, I feel like I got an advantage,” Johnson said.

Though Jon Jones would be the heavy favorite, given his dominance in the MMA world, the idea of a fight between him and Johnson is enough to spark excitement.
But could Johnson really take down the MMA GOAT? Fans of both sports would no doubt be eager to see such a match-up.
