James Harden and Steph Curry started their NBA journey together back in 2009. Over the years, the duo has had innumerable face-offs, with Harden leading the regular season. However, when it comes to the playoffs, quite expectedly, it is Curry all the way. In their recent match too, the myth did not get busted.
After getting the better of the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz, the Warriors faced off against Harden’s Los Angeles Clippers. Putting up an impressive show, Curry dropped 18 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds. Unfortunately, it was not enough. Harden dominated the proceedings with a superior 23 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds to humble the Warriors 112-104.
However, despite the fierce competition over the years, there is no respect lost between the two. Speaking on their epic 15-year and counting rivalry, Harden got candid with the media. The 35-year-old said, “It happened fast. I think just the prime of that Rockets situation going up against that dynasty was just like real. Something I don’t really look back on, I haven’t sat back and thought about it because I am still trying to accomplish things, but I had to really go up against a real dynasty. It’s special.”
Harden further stated how much he is proud of Steph Curry’s accomplishments so far. On the contrary, having reached the NBA finals once, Harden is aiming to make the most of this season and win the elusive title. And he is looking quite promising so far. Averaging 25 points in 3 games, with 8.3 rebounds and 11.7 assists, Harden is expected to improve from here on. Oozing confidence in himself, the 35-year-old recently made a bold Hall of Fame claim.
James Harden Makes A Bold Hall Of Fame Claim
In the absence of Kawhi Leonard, the onus was on James Harden and Normal Powell against the Denver Nuggets. And much to the delight of their fans, both the guards delivered. In a closely contested 109-104 victory, Harden chipped in with 23 crucial points to see his team through. However, there was another interesting bit to the game.

This was the first time Russell Westbrook was on court against his former side since swapping the jerseys. Heaping praises on Westbrook, Harden brought out his LA love and predicted a future Hall of Fame induction for both. The 35-year-old stated, “We’re both inner-city L.A. kids. When it’s all said and done, we’ll be in the Hall of Fame.”
Harden further stressed, “That’s a story right there. I’m happy he’s happy, and he’s playing well. He’s doing his thing here in Denver. So it’s always happiness when we see each other.” Thus, with things seemingly kicking off on the right note, James Harden and the Clippers will have their work cut out as the season progresses.
