James Harden offered up a stinging shot at former NBA star Antoine Walker, who had shown disdain for the way Harden plays the game.
During his recent appearance on the “All Things Covered” podcast — Walker stated that Harden’s style of play is not the groundwork for a championship run.
“I don’t think you can win with his style,” Walker said. “Any time it takes a guy six, seven, eight dribbles to get to where he has to go, that’s a problem. It works today because it’s more of a pick-and-roll league, so he gets away with a lot of things now, but I would not leverage my future for James Harden.”
Walker played 12 seasons in the NBA, and would reach the ultimate goal of winning a title as a member of the 2006 Miami Heat.
Things got terrible for him after his career as he blew through over $100 million in career earnings and filed for bankruptcy in 2010.
Harden has been to the NBA Finals once, although he was a bench player for the OKC Thunder at the time.
