Jalen Rose seems to be in the hot take mood in 2019, for instance, the Get Up! host boldly stated that Kawhi Leonard was a sure thing to re-sign with the Toronto Raptors in free agency. That, of course, did not happen.
Just this week alone, he stated that Anthony Davis was laying the groundwork to make his way to signing with the Chicago Bulls after one season playing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
He wasn’t done.
On Friday, Rose took it further when he took the crown of “King” from King James and decided to give it to a player he says that is not just the best player in the world but the “king of the court” as well.
He gives thw crown to Kawhi Leonard.
”I can’t go in to this years training camp and act like Kawhi Lenard didn’t just go to the Raptors, and win the championship, Finals MVP, shoot down the Philadelphia 76ers, take out the Greek Freak, take out the Golden State Warriors without KD, and LeBron’s team didn’t make the playoffs? I gotta give Kawhi the number one spot right now…the king of the court has to be Kawhi,” Rose explained.

Rose definitely makes a great point. He’ll still have to deal with upset Lakers fans who are likely to remind him Kobe Bryant dropped 81 points on his head.
