Jalen Rose just dropped the gauntlet.
The former NBA player and current analyst believes LeBron James has not yet entered the conversation of the “greatest ever.”
According to Rose, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has to pass four more players before he can began to enter the conversation of the greatest of all-time.
“FIRST AND FOREMOST, WE CAN’T HAVE AN MJ VERSUS LEBRON CONVERSATION BECAUSE LEBRON GOT TO BEAT SOME OTHER PEOPLE ON THE MOUNT RUSHMORE, EVERYONE. THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE THAT PLAYED BASKETBALL THAT HAVE ACCOMPLISHED SOME THINGS, AND ACHIEVED A LEVEL OF GREATNESS, THAT LEBRON JUST HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO. YOU WANT ME TO NAME THEM FOR YOU? BESIDES MICHAEL JORDAN? YOU’VE EVER HEARD OF A GUY NAME KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR? YOU’VE EVER HEARD OF A GUY NAMED BILL RUSSELL? YOU’VE EVER HEARD OF A GUY NAMED EARVIN “MAGIC” JOHNSON? WHEN DID LEBRON PASSED MAGIC? DID I MISS SOMETHING?”
This conversation about LeBron is being brought up again after episodes 1 and 2 of ‘The Last Dance’ were played over the weekend and has given an entirely new generation a firsthand look at how great Michael Jordan was in his prime.
While Jordan got the chance to play against Kobe, he would retire mere months before LeBron arrived in Cleveland.
