Jalen Rose may have lost his job, but he is taking it in stride.
Jalen Rose took to social media to share his intriguing reaction to recently getting the axe from ESPN. The longtime NBA analyst posted a meme that was a split picture of Rose with his signature haircut that had the words “Before Layoffs.”
The other side was a picture of Rose from his “Fab Five” days at Michigan with a shaved head and pencil-thin mustache/goatee under the words “After Layoffs.”
Rose, 50, had been on ABC/ESPN’s top NBA broadcast for a decade. The company had reduced Rose’s role at the network after his daily program with David Jacoby was canceled at the end of 2022.
Rose survived with his pregame show, but he was making millions and it made him an easy target for ESPN to let go.
Rose will continue his column and podcast for The Post called, “Renaissance Man.”

Despite Rose’s jokes, he has already turned himself into a household name in sports media, so he shouldn’t be out of work for too long.
Rose retired from the NBA in 2007 with a career average of 14.3 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.
