A lengthy suspension for Ja Morant is likely on the way as the NBA gathers all the details from his latest controversy on Instagram Live.
Morant seemed to be holding a gun during an Instagram live video and has been suspended from team activities pending an investigation by the NBA. Morant received an eight-game suspension in March after an Instagram Live video showed him displaying a gun inside a Colorado bar.
Morant said in March that he needed to work on himself, and when the season ended a couple weeks ago, he offered similar thoughts.
He may not suspended as of yet, but he seems to be suspended in the virtual world.
Social media is going nuts over NBA 2K apparently suspending him in the game. Morant is pictured in a suit and sitting on the bench.
As the league continues its investigation, Morant could potentially face a “lengthy suspension” from the NBA in regard to the situation.

Morant is not without controversy. It was disclosed in March that he got into a brawl with a youngster at his house last summer during a casual basketball game and apparently displayed a gun. Morant claims he was acting in self-defense.
The Indiana Pacers also claimed that a January altercation involving Morant and his colleagues had an impact on the squad. A red laser was allegedly pointed toward Pacers players from an SUV transporting Morant during the alleged incident. The Pacers reported the incident to NBA officials because they believed a pistol was pointed at them.
Morant admitted his off-court issues were a distraction to the team that played a role in the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies getting knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.
Now, his latest incident will hurt them severely during the regular season for next year.
