Ja Morant has perhaps suffered the biggest setback to stem from his second gun-related incident in as many months.
The Memphis Grizzlies guard is still waiting on the NBA’s decision after he appeared in yet another IG Live video toting a pistol and has already been suspended by his team.
But it appears Nike is now taking action as his signature shoes are nowhere to be found on the sportswear giant’s website, as pointed out by TMZ. Nike released the Ja 1 just under a month ago but, given his latest antics, it appears they’re no longer available on their site.
The company hasn’t severed ties completely, however, as a new colorway set to release on May 25 still shows in the “Upcoming” section of the Nike SNKRS app.
The Ja 1s could still be had through retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods and resellers StockX and Flight Club. But Nike taking them down from their own online store does speak volumes.
The two-time All-Star signed a multi-year deal with the sports brand in 2019 and stands to lose his endorsement in what would be a bitter blow, given that he has already lost $39 million by not making the All-NBA First Team this season due to a suspension for the first video in which he was seen flashing a gun.

The guard was suspended for eight games for his actions back in March and is now expected to be made an example of given this latest incident.
