Ja Morant has sounded a warning to the rest of the NBA, letting the league know he’s going to cook when his suspension is over next season.
The Memphis Grizzlies point guard will sit out the first 25 games of the 2023/24 NBA campaign following a stiff suspension brought about by a second video in which he appeared toting a pistol, though he claims it was a pistol-shaped lighter.
The Grizzlies have since signed Derrick Rose to a deal in what’s considered to be a momentous event, given Rose’s connection to the city. And NBA legend Isaiah Thomas reckons his presence will have a huge impact on Morant and expects the younger guard to ball out when he returns from his ban.
“Watch what type of season Ja has next year with D rose connected to his hip all year long,” Thomas wrote in a tweet. “Once he gets off suspension he will have his best season yet.”
Morant replied to the tweet with suggestions he’s about to play at an even higher level.
“you too loud OG. they gon feel me fasho,” he replied.

The Grizzlies star would have been a shoo-in for an All-NBA Team last season had it not been for his disciplinary issues. He’s already out of the MVP conversation for next season as a minimum of 65 games is now required, but we’re all hoping he’s done hurting himself with the ill-advised antics.
