Ja Morant’s mother is now being blamed for the NBA star’s recent violent behavior amid the latest controversy surrounding the player.
Morant, considered to be one of the best players in the league, got himself in trouble again after appearing in a second Instagram Live video flashing a firearm. Having already served an eight-game ban for the very same thing back in March, Ja has been suspended from all team activities by the Memphis Grizzlies while he awaits more punishment from the NBA.
Recent reports pertaining to the player have been puzzling, to say the least. It’s known that he was raised by both his parents in a good home and was never affiliated with any gangs or questionable characters. That he’s flashing guns and turning up in violent incidents all of a sudden is somewhat mysterious.
Recently, comedian Corey Holcomb suggested that Ja’s mom, Jamie Morant, could be to blame for his shocking behavior. The Grizzlies star was previously reported to have chased a young boy working at a sneaker store to the back room with a gun after his mom summoned him via phone during an argument at the store.
Holcomb addressed the report on his podcast earlier this month and criticized Ja’s friends, who seem to have no concerns over him losing everything given that they encourage his wild antics. Kraig Smith, another comedian on the podcast, said Jamie is probably jealous of her son’s success and is trying to lead him downthe wrong path on purpose.
