Ja Morant, the Memphis Grizzlies star, recently sparked controversy with his gun-shooting celebration after the game-winning alley-oop on Tuesday night.
Morant sealed his team’s road victory over the New Orleans Pelicans with a dunk on Tuesday night at Smoothie King Center and appeared to shoot imaginary bullets into the crowd while celebrating.
The 24-year-old has led Memphis to four consecutive victories since returning from a 25-game suspension handed to him by the NBA after flashing a firearm multiple times on social media. his was not the time for him to simulate shooting a weapon when he just came off the suspension.
Morant scored 31 points to beat the Pelicans 116-115 in overtime and to keep the Grizzlies undefeated since his return.
Memphis went from 6-19 to 10-19.

Morant was named the Western Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday after averaging 28.8 points since returning from suspension.
The team still has a long way to go as they currently sit in 13th place in the Western Conference. Luckily for them, there is a log jam of teams at the bottom that they can past as the Grizzlies can seriously make up some ground and get things interesting in the second half of the season.
