Ja Morant is in trouble with the NBA yet again. Having already served an eight-game suspension for appearing in an Instagram Live video holding a gun and issuing an apology, the point guard has had to say sorry yet again for doing the exact same thing two months later.
The Memphis Grizzlies star was caught slipping this weekend as he was shown sitting in a vehicle bumping to hip-hop music while toting a slightly bigger pistol than he was seen flashing in that Denver strip joint earlier this year, with his friend doing the recording while enjoying the track himself.
Morant has since gotten suspended by the Grizzlies, while the NBA is expected to throw the book at him once their investigation is complete.
The player issued an apology on Tuesday night, via NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
It reads:
“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”

Yeah… we don’t believe you this time, Ja.
As if his unchanged behavior wasn’t enough to suggest the two-time NBA All-Star is trying to be better, he’s also been accused of coming up with the apology via AI chatbot ChatGPT. Take a look at the photo below:
Not like he was fooling anyone after appearing in a lengthy interview with Jalen Rose insisting he’s changed and was working on himself only to turn around and slap everyone in the face by doing literally the same thing.
But this is still next level.
