The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is a superstar in the NBA; however, his stardom extends well beyond the world of basketball. Major League Soccer star Christian Benteke recently credited Bron for his celebration and inspiration.
Benteke plays for the D.C. United in the Major League Soccer is one of the finest players in the league. Whenever he scores a goal, he celebrates it by doing ‘The Silencer’ celebration. On being asked about the inspiration behind the celebration, he credited it to LeBron James.

“It comes from him. Since I got interested in the basketball world, I have always been inspired by him (LeBron James). As a footballer, you have players that you look up to. But then I was trying to look for a different sport and basketball was the closest to football. Then LeBron, you cannot go wrong by choosing him,” said Benteke.
He revealed that he sought inspiration in a different sport when he stumbled against basketball. He found the game very close to soccer and became a LeBron fanboy. Benteke further added, “It’s work ethic, it’s discipline about his work. We all know the great athlete that he is, but for me, it’s more everything that he does to be so great.”
The D.C. United star praises LeBron’s work ethic, crediting it to be his inspiration for working hard in a similar way. Benteke and King James have much in common in their game styles; they are both nightmares to defend against and are dominant in aerial battles.

LeBron James achieves yet another milestone passing Kobe Bryant
The 39-year-old has been stunning the league for the past few years by breaking records and achieving new career milestones at an age where most ballers retire. Most recently, LeBron James passed Kobe Bryant as the third player to make the most free throws in a regular season.
The chart is led by Karl Malone, who has made 9,787 free throws in his career. He is succeeded by Moses Malone in the second spot with 8,531 free throws made. The third sport, which belongs to Kobe Bryant, now belongs to King James. The future Hall of Famer has made 8,397 free throws in his entire career, while Kobe Bryant sits in the fourth position with 8,378 free throws.
