According to a recent post by the social media account NBA Central on X (formerly known as Twitter), Mat Ishbia has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to basketball.
“It’s like looney tunes around here. It’s felt unstable since (Ishbia) arrived. He’s a good guy, and I think he’s very involved in everything. Too involved. I know he played (college basketball at Michigan State), but I’d venture to say he has no idea what he’s doing when it comes to basketball. Yet he’s making a lot of the big decisions.”

Fans have been blaming the Suns’ wealthy owner, Mat Ishbia, for the team’s 4-0 series defeat
The Phoenix Suns have recently been struggling in the NBA playoffs against the Timberwolves, and it seems that things won’t be getting better anytime soon. There were rumors that the head coach, Frank Vogel, would be leaving the team. Fans have been blaming the Suns’ wealthy owner, Mat Ishbia, for the team’s 4-0 series defeat.
The Phoenix Suns, with superstars like Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant, were expected to compete for championships but were instead swept by the third-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves, becoming the first team to be eliminated from the 2024 playoffs.
On the court, the Suns appeared disoriented, and there was no sense of camaraderie among the Big Three, especially under pressure. However, it seems that the organization has also been dealing with some turmoil since the change in ownership, suggesting that the dysfunction is not limited to the players.
