The Minnesota Timberwolves have been absolutely stunning this season. They finished the regular season with a great record and now dominate the Phoenix Suns in their playoff series. The majority of the credit for their success goes to Anthony Edwards.
The 22-year-old baller has been killing it on the court with his performances. He has consistently performed for his team, scoring 20+ points in most games. He is an indispensable asset; without him, the Wolves would struggle a lot. Rudy Gobert recently received great praise for his teammate in a post-game conference.
“Last year and this year, they were putting two guys on him and he (Anthony Edwards) didn’t really like that. I feel like over the course of this year he has started to realize and embrace the fact that when they put two on you, it is the highest form of respect,” said Gobert.
He talked about Ant’s growth and how he outperformed himself throughout the year. He pointed out that Edwards used to struggle with double teams before, but he soon realized he had teammates he could rely on.
“I have seen him willing to learn and get better and it has paid huge dividends for our team. It’s crazy to think that he is just 22 years old,” added Gobert. Later in the conference, Rudy remarked that Anthony Edwards is always eager to learn, and his learning attitude has paid huge dividends for his team. He also showed his amazement at how Edwards has grown so much at such a young age.

Anthony Edwards matches Kevin Garnett in franchise record
Anthony Edwards recently delivered a great performance against the Phoenix Suns in Game 3 of their playoff series. The young Timberwolves star has been a dominant force on the court; he recently matched NBA icon Kevin Garnett for a franchise record at a younger age.
Anthony Edwards is now tied with Kevin Garnett for the greatest number of 30-plus-point games played by a player in the Timberwolves’ history. Both Garnett and Ant are at 7 games, but Ant has achieved this feat at a much younger age. He will likely go on to surpass Garnett in the future and make that record his own.
