On Sunday night, Paul George pulled out every trick out of his bag to combat the fiery Mavs. With the Dallas side leading the series, the Clippers could not afford to go down 3-1 in hostile territory, and PG13 made sure of it.
In the 1st quarter, with 36 seconds remaining on the clock, Paul George took on Josh Green near the halfway line before twisting and turning to the 3-point line. When the clock struck 30 seconds, the 33-year-old was off celebrating his 3-point hit to make the score 36-14. While turning away, George looked at the commentary desk and said, “It doesn’t matter” to JJ Redick, who was in awe of the moment produced by George.
JJ Redick played his final NBA season with the Mavs in 2021 and unsurprisingly favored the Dallas team. While everything was probably in the heat of the game, the moment captured the attention of the fans in attendance and the ones watching at home.
But for PG, the show wasn’t over. En route to his 33 points on the night, the 9-time NBA All-Star again went viral for a curious celebration that had some recent history behind it.
Paul George Hits PJ Washington’s Pose From Game 3
Paul George took a sly stab at Mavericks’ PJ Washington on Sunday by recreating his cross-armed pose from the previous game. After shooting a three over the Mavs forward in the first half, PG-13 stood like that in confidence.
During Game 3, the two teams engaged in an altercation when Clippers’ Russell Westbrook fouled Mavs star Luka Doncic. After Westbrook and Washington were ejected for the ensuing scuffle, the latter decided to strike a pose by crossing his hands and standing, which circulated on the internet. Explaining his pose, Washington said, “[The Clippers’ Terrance] Mann was mad that I was looking at their bench, so I decided to look at it again.”
