Over two months have passed, and the NBA free agency is still underway. However, many players are still searching for a destination for the next season. Two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas, who played for the Phoenix Suns last season, is also among players seeking contract negotiations with NBA franchises.
After joining the league in 2011, the former Boston Celtics guard played for 10 NBA teams, including the Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers. However, IT suffered several injuries after leaving the Celtics and even played for G-League teams during 2021-24.
During his 9th Annual Zeke-End Tournament in August, Isaiah Thomas discussed his aspiration to play a few more years in the NBA. Thomas said, “I really want to just play two or three more years and then focus on my kids. That’s the ultimate goal, and we’re just going to keep fighting until the end…”
He added, “I’m still at an age where I can still play at a high level. I always say that I have the same feeling going to the gym now that I did when I was a kid. I know when that goes away, it’s time to just try to find something else.”
How Many Games Isaiah Thomas Has Played In The Last Four Years?
In his career, Thomas averaged 17.5 points on 43.4% shooting from the field and 36.3% beyond the arc. His prime came in the 2016-17 season with the Celtics, when he averaged 28.9 points in 76 games while shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 37.9 from the three-point line.
