Former NBA star Isaiah Thomas has issued a big statement that might sting the G-League fans and players a bit. Thomas was last seen in the NBA in 2022, he struggled to get game time from the teams in the NBA and had to make a switch to the G-League.
Thomas was a great player, however, his value started to deplete as time went by. He is now 35 years old but he dreams once again of stepping back into the NBA as a professional baller. He is an example who reminds us that LeBron James is still doing it at 39 years of age.
Isaiah Thomas claims to drop 50 points in the G-League
Former NBA player Isaiah Thomas has claimed that he would drop 45–50 points per game in the G-League once he was back to full health. Thomas made this bold claim on X when he reposted a post that highlighted his G-League debut.
Thomas’ G-league debut was explosive and is getting a lot of coverage. A post by Ball Don’t Stop highlighted his debut and praised the former Lakers star for his dedication to the sport. Thomas reposted it and said, “Once my legs and rhythm come back these are easily 45-50pt games with the WIN! SLOW GRIND.” He claimed that he would drop 45–50 points in games once he got back to his rhythm and legs. This can be a bit infuriating for the G-League fans, as the former NBA star indirectly hints at G-League being too easy to play in.

Thomas had a poor end to his NBA career, where he saw zero playtime in his final years. The 35-year-old was moving from one team to another but failed to secure a playing spot on every one of them. Eventually, he had to move to the G-League to keep playing. Fans are appreciating Thomas’ efforts for not returning and following his passion to the very end.
