The Oklahoma City Thunder have an incredible start to the 2024-25 NBA season. They are currently in 1st place in the Western Conference standings. Recently, they secured a hard-fought 101-93 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers, thanks to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s stellar performance. With this win, their record stands at 15 wins and four losses for the regular season.
Isaiah Hartenstein signed a three-year, $87 million contract with the Thunder on July 6. After playing a few games alongside Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, he quickly took the opportunity to praise his star teammates.
“Some guys, I’ll be honest, they play selfishly. There’s some guys in the league that just kind of play more for themselves and don’t play for the team. But (SGA and Williams) don’t. Hartenstein had a difficult start to the season, missing 14 games due to a fracture in his left hand. However, upon his return, he made a strong debut with the Thunder against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is impressing basketball fans with his exceptional court skills. The star player delivered a dominant performance in the Thunder’s 101-93 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 36 points, providing nine assists, and grabbing six rebounds. Additionally, during the post-game interview, a reporter posed a captivating question about the players he admired while growing up.
“I’ve tried to watch Kobe. Obviously, it’s hard to emulate the stuff he’s [done]. A.I. [Allen Iverson] a little bit. Those two guys, I would say, I’ve tried to watch the most. But, at the end of the day, it’s whatever works for me, whatever feels comfortable, and whatever flows for my game,” Gilgeous-Alexander said.
