The New Orleans Pelicans will play again on Friday night when they travel to Memphis to play the Memphis Grizzlies, following the postponement of their game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Williamson has played a part in the Pelicans’ recent success. Since returning from injury earlier this month, he has played four games and scored more than 16 points each. Additionally, he has pulled down at least six rebounds.
However, Zion Williamson, the Pelicans’ top power forward, will be sidelined as he heals from an illness. Other squad members will be unavailable besides Williamson. The G-League will include two Pelicans: guard Antonio Reeves and forward Keion Brooks Jr. Guard Dejounte Murray, who has been battling right elbow bursitis, and center Yves Missi, who is also recuperating from a medical condition, are the likely Pelicans.

However, none of the two Pelicans listed as out is unexpected. Moving forward, Guard/forward Herb Jones is out indefinitely due to a strain in his right shoulder. Meanwhile, Brandon Ingram is still recovering from a sprain to his left ankle.
This is the third of the Grizzlies and Pelicans’ four regular-season games planned for the 2024–25 season. Memphis has won the last two games, defeating the opposition 132-124 on the road on December 27 and 120-109 at home on November 29. The last game is scheduled for March 9 in New Orleans.
Zion Williamson Is In The Best Shape Of His NBA Career This Season
Zion Williamson has been the subject of weight-related questions throughout his NBA career. Since joining the league, there has been much conjecture that he has not maintained his fitness. According to NBA analyst Shams Charania, Williamson is now playing at his peak.
Shams said, “From everything I hear, people might think it’s crazy, but Zion Williamson really is in the best shape of his career. Since his rookie season, he hasn’t been as light as he is. He is listed at 284. He is below that right now, I can report that.”

Williamson has limited time to demonstrate his ability to be the franchise player the Pelicans require to contend in the Western Conference. But the first step in that process is for Williamson to maintain his health.
