The Golden State Warriors are off to a strong start this season, winning their first two regular-season games. Now, Stephen Curry’s team is scheduled for their home opener against the Los Angeles Clippers at Chase Center this Sunday.
Before the highly anticipated matchup, the Warriors released their injury report, which showed no players listed. This means that Stephen Curry is expected to take the court against the Clippers.
There was some concern about Curry’s participation earlier this week. The Warriors star was labeled questionable due to a right hip contusion before the Warriors’ 127-86 victory over the Utah Jazz.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his health, Curry, the longest-tenured Warriors star, proved his athleticism by playing 27 minutes in that game. He finished with 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, contributing significantly to the team’s win.
Former Warriors Star Kelly Oubre Jr. Praises Stephen Curry
Kelly Oubre Jr. only spent one season alongside Stephen Curry with the Golden State Warriors, but that short time left a lasting impression. The former Warriors star has immense admiration for Curry, whom he refers to as a hero.
“I would definitely label him as one of the ultimate heroes. He is Steph Curry, without a doubt. But on top of that, he’s just a regular guy. During my time there, I never sought anything from him. I never bothered him for anything,” Oubre Jr. said.
