The Golden State Warriors faced a tough night recently, taking their first loss of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers, 104-112. The game took an even worse turn when Stephen Curry injured his left ankle twice.
Due to this injury, Curry was officially ruled out for the Warriors’ game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. The Warriors’ latest injury report lists Curry’s absence as related to his ankle injury. The Warriors will play against the Pelicans again on Wednesday. Curry is expected to miss the game as well.
The 36-year-old guard initially rolled his ankle with about three minutes remaining in the third quarter. Later, in the fourth quarter of the Clippers game, he tweaked it again. This time, he had to leave the game with assistance from the medical team, walking off with a noticeable limp.
Head coach Steve Kerr expressed concern following the Clippers game. He acknowledged that Curry has sprained that ankle multiple times in the past. It raises worry over how long he might be sidelined.
According to ESPN, the Warriors are preparing for the possibility that Curry may miss several games. Shams Charania reported that Curry will be re-evaluated on November 1, meaning he will likely miss at least two games.

Green explained that without Curry on the court, he would need to take on a more versatile role.
“Obviously, I have to be more aggressive; try to find different spots to score, and then I’ll probably handle the ball more. In more of a decision-making role, but it’s interesting because I don’t really know what that entails today because we’re kinda running an entirely different offense,” Green said.
“But I imagine shots will come in different areas because the gravity that Steph pulls won’t be there,” he added.
Before stepping off the court, Curry averaged 18.3 points per game and led the Warriors with 6.7 assists. In his last game, he scored 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists in 27 minutes.
