The Golden State Warriors will face off against the defending champions, the Boston Celtics, this Monday at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. Nevertheless, the Warriors will face a significant challenge as Stephen Curry’s availability remains uncertain due to a recent injury.
Curry, who tweaked his ankle late in Saturday’s game, has officially been listed as questionable for Monday’s clash. His absence could significantly impact the Warriors’ performance, as he has been one of their most consistent players this season, averaging 23 points, five rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.
Despite his contributions, the Warriors have struggled with consistency, winning just three of their last seven games. Their current 21-20 record places them in the 10th spot in the Western Conference standings.
The Warriors also face additional injury concerns. Brandin Podziemski (abdominal) and Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) are ruled out, while Draymond Green (calf) and Kyle Anderson (hamstring) are listed as questionable. On the Celtics’ side, Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) and Al Horford (toe) are both listed as questionable for Monday’s game.
Steve Kerr Provides Updates On Draymond Green And Stephen Curry
After the Warriors’ victory over the Washington Wizards, head coach Steve Kerr shared updates on Draymond Green’s and Stephen Curry’s injuries. The coach provided an optimistic update about Curry, though Green’s situation is seemingly serious.
“Draymond is going to get an MRI tomorrow. Steph just told me he doesn’t think it’s serious, but they’ll both be day-to-day for now. We’ll have to wait and see what the MRI shows tomorrow and just assess over the next couple of days. We’ll figure out what’s next,” Kerr said.
