On Monday night, the Golden State Warriors suffered a narrow 102-99 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. The defeat marked the Warriors’ second loss to a Clippers team led by James Harden this season. With the loss, Stephen Curry’s team dropped to second place in the Western Conference standings, holding a 10-3 record.
Despite the setback, the Warriors are ready for a bounce-back performance as they prepare to host the Atlanta Hawks at Chase Center on Wednesday. Ahead of the matchup, the team released its updated injury report. Kevon Looney is listed as questionable due to illness, while De’Anthony Melton remains out with an ACL injury.
Sadly, Curry’s name is also on the report. The Warriors star is probable with a knee injury for Wednesday’s game. Curry was previously listed as questionable for the Clippers game due to left knee bursitis but played and delivered an outstanding performance. He recorded a game-high 26 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Steph Curry Praises James Harden for Historic Three-Point Achievement
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry shared his admiration for James Harden after the Clippers guard became second all-time in made three-pointers. Curry called it “special” and shared the remarkable careers they’ve both built since entering the league in 2009.
“It’s special for sure. He’s had an unbelievable run. We’ve had a lot of battles. The fact that he’s now second on the list in front of two greats we both respect, it’s pretty special. We’ll see how far we both can push it. I know we got a lot left in the tank,” Curry said.
As Harden climbs the all-time three-pointers list, Curry, the league’s leader in this category, recognizes the significance of their journey. Both Curry and Harden were top picks in the 2009 NBA Draft. Harden then went third overall and Curry seventh, and since then, the two have redefined the art of scoring and shooting in the modern NBA.
